KING BOB PRESENTS EVIDENCE

.

.

……Of crimes that have nothing to do with why he was appointed.

King Bob Mueller‘s super special counsel’s office released an itemized list of evidence prosecutors are ‘considering’ for use against Paul Manafort as the former Trump aide’s Washington D.C. trial approaches.

The list contains about 500 items ranging from immunity agreements to texts between Manafort, Ukraine’s former president and a fellow U.S. political consultant.

Other items on the list include photographs and documents of expensive purchases prosecutors say Manafort made with money he attempted to hide from U.S. authorities after working for pro-Russia political parties in Ukraine.

.

Since King Bob has been unable to find any collusion whatsoever, Manafort is charged with a number of financial crimes, including bank fraud and money laundering.

Mueller’s attorneys also did not rule out the possibility of introducing further evidence against him, but Manafort has stayed strong and maintained his ‘not guilty’ plea despite the intimidation.

“The government further respectfully requests leave of the Court to file additional exhibits if necessary,” reads the end of Mueller’s latest court submission.

.

To refresh your memories, Manafort was ordered to jail last month for violating the terms of his bail agreement.

And again, *none* — as in zero, zilch — of Manafort’s charges relate to accusations of contacts with OMG RUSSIA during the 2016 election, but Manafort remains in jail awaiting his Virginia trial later this month nonetheless.

So Mueller is going after 12-year old lobbying violations and people like Sean Spicer say that “there is no evidence that this is a witch hunt.”
.

It very much is a witch hunt, and although I have no love for foreign lobbyists, this should not be happening in America.

Please stay strong, Mr. Manafort. I have a feeling the tables will be turning in due time.

GOP LOSES A FUTURE JUDGE

.

.

Because they lost their spine a long time ago.

A ‘controversial’ circuit court nominee withdrew his nomination today amid because someone on the Left yelled “Racist!,” which we all know is the GOP’s cue to hop up and do everything possible to show how non-racist they are, no matter how frivolous the charge.

Ryan Bounds’s appointment to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which badly needs conservatives, was clearly in hot water this afternoon as the Senate delayed holding a vote on his nomination even after he overcame a procedural vote the previous day.

A final vote was expected to start at 1:45 p.m., but instead Turtle McConnell came to the Senate floor around 2:30 p.m. to say that the vote had been called off.

“The nomination will be withdrawn,” McConnell said, before retreating into his shell.

If Republicans had pushed forward with the vote, Bounds’s nomination would have failed after Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), the lone Republican black senator, told Turtle that he could not vote for Bounds’s nomination. Once Scott voiced opposition, Lil Marco Rubio joined in and the dam of cowardice broke.

To refresh your memories on Senate math: Republicans hold a slim 51-49 majority in the Senate, but in practice we don’t even have that. With Cooter McCain absent all the time and liable to vote against us even if he were there, Turtle would have needed the support of every single GOP senator to confirm Bounds. As always, no Dims offered support. A few of them might have if the GOP had enough sense to alert their Trump-supportive base that they were sabotaging Trump nominees, but that’s a lot to ask, I know.

Sen. Scott declined to say why he wouldn’t support Bounds if his nomination had received a vote, but everyone knew exactly why, which I’ll explain now. Get ready to eye-roll pretttttttttty hard.

.

SO WHAT IS THE BIG CONTROVERSY?

.

Some Media Matters hack dug up decades-old writings from college that voiced skepticism about race-focused groups and questioned the need for diversity training.

*GASP*

He had the audacity to tell far-left college moonbats that their race-hustling identity politics were garbage? Burn him at the stake!

In the most OMG CONTROVERSIAL writing, Bounds questioned the strategies used by “more strident racial factions of the student body.”

“I am mystified because these tactics seem always to contribute more to restricting consciousness, aggravating intolerance and pigeonholing cultural identities than many a Nazi bookburning,” he wrote

Since our GOP senators are apparently too stupid to comprehend what he’s saying, I’ll help them out. He’s saying that the strong-arm tactics employed by the Left as they pertain to identity politics are actually counterproductive to the goal of increasing tolerance, and that their methods are reminiscent of the Nazi censorship practiced in the early 20th century.

Why that’s controversial I will never, ever know. It happens to be true. And what’s worse, he’s turned out to be somewhat of a prophet, seeing as how those tactics have only gotten worse since then, along with their results. I would really love to have this guy on the federal bench. Too bad the GOP is worthless.

.

In a sad commentary on our society, Bounds was brow-beaten into apologizing for the writings during his confirmation hearing earlier this year, saying he used “overheated” language.

“I share the concerns of many that the rhetoric I used in debating campus politics back in the early ’90s on Stanford’s campus was often overheated, overbroad,” he said during his hearing in May.

There’s nothing I hate worse than hearing unwarranted apologies from conservatives. Liberals are never forced to do stuff like this.

.

Bound’s withdrawal puts a dent in the frantic pace Republicans have set as they’ve confirmed nominees to the circuit court, which has actually been Turtle’s greatest achievement since PDT assumed office.

Bounds, had he been confirmed, would’ve been PDT’s 24th appeals court nominee approved by the Senate. Republicans broke the record set under George H.W. Bush for the number of appellate judges confirmed during an administration’s first two years, giving the Trump admin its 23rd appeals judge yesterday.

So the good news is we’re still doing a great job.

.

BOTTOM LINE:

.

Judicial nominations are our best shot at having a decades-long impact on the country. Leftists have infiltrated the courts and made a habit of legislating from the bench. This was never more apparent than shortly after January 20, 2017, when federal judges overruled the frigging President of the United States on several occasions by issuing absurd rulings that applied nationwide. Hawaii judge Derrick Watson ring a bell? The POTUS can’t even protect the nation because of these deranged commies.

It’s a sad day when a man can lose a well-deserved judicial nomination due to writings from college that happen to be 100% accurate.

A sad day indeed.

RAND VS. THE MOB

.

.

I often like to poke fun at Rand Paul for being a little person, but today he stood tall.

Paul blocked a resolution from #CrazyBernie Sanders that backed the intelligence community’s assessment of Russian election interference and demanded PDT speak with King Bob Mueller. Yes, the same #CrazyBernie who loved the USSR so much he spent his honeymoon there.

Sanders asked for unanimous consent to try to pass his resolution, saying senators “must act” if they are “serious about preserving American democracy.”

What a drama queen.

“The Congress must make it clear that we accept the assessment of our intelligence community with regard to Russian election interfering in our country and in other democracies,” Sanders said during a Senate floor speech.

Luckily, Senate rules allow for any one senator to block his request. And luckily, one did.

.

Sanders’s resolution would also demand already passed sanctions legislation be fully implemented, move to protect the election system and “not accept” interference in Mueller’s investigation, including the firing of Deputy AG Fraud Rosenstein.

But Paul objected to the resolution, correctly noting that all of this hysteria is the product of Trump Derangement Syndrome hitting the Senate.

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT SENATOR PAUL. It’s time someone did.

“The hatred for the president is so intense that partisans would rather risk war than give diplomacy a chance,” he said.

The only thing that could’ve made that statement better is if it ended with, “And those partisans damn sure wouldn’t go to war with Russia themselves.”

.

He continued to use this nifty new thing called basic logic, questioning why senators wouldn’t want to have relations with Russia.

“We should stand firm and say ‘Stay the hell out of our elections,’ but we should not stick our head in the ground and say we’re not going to talk to them,” he said.

#CrazyBernie fired back that Paul’s objection was unrelated to his resolution, which he noted doesn’t push for cutting off talks with the Russians.

“What the senator said is totally irrelevant to what is in this resolution,” Sanders said.

No, Bernie, you stupid commie, it’s not. You can say, “But we can still talk with the Russians” but that doesn’t mean much when you’re doing everything possible to ensure that those talks are fruitless. Bernie the warmonger. Whoodathunkit.

.

Good job, Senator Paul. You’re a voice of reason in a howling wilderness of histrionics.

Keep it up.

ISN’T THIS IS HOW THOSE MUMMY MOVIES STARTED?

.

.

Let’s end with something a little different.

The mysterious black sarcophagus found in Egypt has been opened.

Speculation and mystery have surrounded the strange black granite box since it was found in Alexandria earlier this month. Many people even suggested that it shouldn’t be opened, for fear that it could unleash a hideous curse that Ajax can’t take off.

It was found next to a giant alabaster head that served only to deepen the mystery of what was inside. The tension was palpable. And then, some brave souls took the leap to do what Brendan Fraser would surely warn against — they opened the black box.

I hope you’ve had dinner, because here come some pics:

It looks like we can all sleep well tonight. Archaeologists pried it open to find it was filled with dirty water and three skeletons.

The water probably found its way into the box from a sewage trench, according to those at the site. It may have caused the mummies to decompose and leave only their skeletons.

Well darn.

.
According to Egyptian experts, the bodies are probably those of warriors. One of the them appears to have a wound that is the result of being hit by an arrow. Man, old school warfare sucked.

Some had hoped that the tomb could contain the body of Alexander The Great, which would help solve one of the world’s greatest mysteries. Unfortunately, there is nothing to suggest that any of the skeletons belong to the famed boy world-conquerer.

Alexander’s body has never been found. He asked for his corpse to be thrown into the Euphrates river – but speculation has been rife ever since that his body was actually disposed of in a tomb, and that it is still lying waiting to be found.

Either way, as I’ve learned, it’s incredibly rare to find an unopened sarcophagus in Alexandria. Anyone planning to build in the city must first have archaeologists inspect the site, and while they occasionally find sarcophagi they have usually been looted. Sounds like St. Louis.

The skeletons will now be removed from the site and sent to the National Museum of Alexandria. The sarcophagus will also be removed from the site once it is checked over and repaired.

I’ll keep my ear to the ground to report any re-animated corpses.

Stay tuned.
