THROWING THE NARRATIVE A BONE

.

.

One need only turn on the legacy media for more than 30 seconds at any point in the day to hear the latest fear-mongering about how Hackin’ Vlad Putin is lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce on any poor coochie-capper who seeks to exercise her sacred right to vote.

It’s with this hysteria in mind that the White House sought to ease the nerves of “Americans” concerned about the legitimacy of the upcoming midterms (pro tip: Dim victories are ‘legitimate,’ whereas Trump victories are inherently the masterwork of the KGB).

.
The White House today trotted out five top national security officials in an effort to show the administration is confronting OMG RUSSIAN efforts to interfere in the midterm elections.
.
“The president has specifically directed us to make the matter of election meddling and securing our election process a top priority, and we have done that,” Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said during a surprise appearance in the White House press briefing room.
.
Coats was joined by national security adviser John “The Stache” Bolton, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, FBI Director J. Edgar Wray and National Security Agency (NSA) Director Gen. Paul Nakasone, who detailed their respective agencies’ efforts to address the problem.
.
“In regards to Russian involvement in the midterm elections, we continue to see a pervasive messaging campaign by Russia to try to weaken and divide the United States,” Coats said.
.

.

The point of the presser was fairly obvious, as the officials made a point of looking tougher with their criticism of Russia than the president has been perceived as being. They stated in no uncertain terms that there was zero doubt Moscow meddled in that election and is already engaging in efforts related to the 2018 contests.
.
“The threat is not going away. Russia attempted to interfere in the last election and continues to do so to this day,” Wray said.
.
“Our democracy itself is in the crosshairs,” Nielsen said, adding her hat to the ring of hyperbolic declarations that do a disservice to a complex issue that has been present since the advent of the internet.
.
DNI Coats put out the most succinct soundbite, capturing the essence of the press conference:
.
“We’re throwing everything at it,” Coats said.
.
It would be nice if “throwing everything” included throwing all the facts to the American public, such as the fact that Russia is but one of many nations who “meddle” within our borders on a daily basis, not just election season. Or the fact that the Russian meddling that everyone is so suddenly all-hands-on-deck for consists of dozens of fake social media profiles and astroturf protest-organizing against both sides of the political spectrum.

.

.

Some of the officials, including Nielsen and Wray, met in New York this week with VP Pence and business leaders at a cybersecurity summit to encourage collaboration on countering Russian interference efforts. There’s no word yet on what collaboration is being planned to combat Chinese hacking, which would be of great interest to people like myself. See, a few years ago, the Chinese hacked into the Office of Personal Management and got personal information on TS/SCI clearance holders, along with many other things. Chinese intelligence knew where my daughter slept because of their hacking efforts and the Obama administration did nothing.
.
But what do you know, it hasn’t gotten nearly the attention of 30 fake Russian Facebook pages starting fights between Republicans and Democrats.
.
To his credit, Coats did inject a modest amount of sanity into the debate by noting that the  intelligence community has not seen the same kind of “robust campaign” by Russia in this election, compared to the 2016 contest, and Nielsen offered assurances that voting systems overseen by state and local governments are now more secure against hackers.
.
Of course, he didn’t mention that the “robust campaign” in 2016 was about a half-million dollars worth of internet trolling, which amounts to jack squat in a national election. Its’ a complete joke.

.

Have no fear, though, as they found other avenues from which to fear-monger. Officials rattled off several examples of how OMG RUSSIA is seeking to carry out influence campaigns and other similar activities.
.
Coats said Moscow is trying to hack into systems used by U.S. officials and candidates, perhaps a reference to the supposed cyber attacks against Sen. Claire McCaskill‘s (D-MO) staffers that was reported last week.
.
It’s just a #BigFat coinky-dink that McCaskill is one of the most vulnerable Senate Dims facing reelection in a Trump-friendly state. And how convenient that the electronic forensic analysis was conducted by the Daily friggin Beast. Yes, as in the left-wing online rag. We should all take their word for it that the Russians went after a Dim that just happens to benefit from being a Putin victim. You’ll have to excuse my skepticism.
.
But things like logic and evidence are for we mere fly-over simpletons, and the Swamp has predictably seized on the latest “evidence” of a new Russian campaign to push the narrative of a democracy under attack with a president asleep at the wheel.  And so we must play this cynical public relations game to give everyone warm fuzzies about how safe we are from the Russians.
.
Stache Bolton wrote in a letter to Senate Dims released today that PDT has directed a “vast, government-wide” effort to protect elections from foreign influence, including existing sanctions and collaborations with election officials and private companies.
.
But of course that’s not good enough for newfound national security hawks like slime ball Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia:
.
“Glad to see the White House finally do something about election security — even if it’s only a press conference. Now if only it was actually backed up by anything the President has said or done on Russia,” tweeted Warner.
.
Warner relies upon the ignorance of his voting base to push this narrative, and they never disappoint. Otherwise, they’d know that the Trump administration has taken stronger actions against the Putin regime than any president before him, and much tougher actions than Warner’s butt buddy Barry Soetoro.

.

.

BIG PICTURE:

.

The current narrative that Russia is back at it again is overblown in some cases and outright dishonest in others. Facebook itself acknowledged on Capitol Hill this week that they had no actual technical evidence to link to Russia, but that the activity being witnessed bears the markings of a Russian operation. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what we in the intelligence community call CRAP. If I had to brief that to a Battalion commander I would lead with “This assessment is low confidence, Sir.”

But officers in the field are apparently much harder to convince than politicians on Capitol Hill. Could it be that those politicians need it to be true regardless of the facts on the ground?

That’s a rhetorical question.

Remember what I’m about to tell you: Look out for other “Russian attacks” on Dims throughout the midterms. The political/media establishment complex have already tipped their hand as to what strategy they’ll be using. They’re trying to make this a contest between America and Russia rather than PDT vs. everyone who is trying to stop his success. They believe that their brand of convenient faux nationalism will undermine Trump’s strong suit: patriotism.

It’s too transparent, though. They’re overplaying their hand. All the same, prepare to be annoyed. Because Russia Russia Russia isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

THE GRACIOUS KING BOB

.

.

King Bob Mueller, the only man in America with unlimited, unchecked power, has reportedly decided to show his generous side and place limits on what he may ask the President of the United States. Oh, how lucky we, the great unwashed are to have such a gracious king.

.

The failing Washington Post reports that Mueller is considering reducing the number of questions asked of PDT about possible obstruction of justice during an interview. He would instead allow PDT to submit some of those responses in writing.

The failing New York Times, however, are reporting that Mueller still wants to question PDT on possible obstruction of justice and whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Just to refresh everyone’s memory, no, the president cannot be indicted for obstruction of justice for expressing his (correct) view that Mueller is on a partisan witch hunt. That anyone would suggest otherwise is an insult to the intelligence of the American public and indicates abject desperation. And no, collusion isn’t a crime even if it did happen, and there is no evidence to suggest it did.

PDT’s top(?) attorney Rudy Giuliani told the Fake News today that the president’s legal team is “in the process of responding to their proposal.”

The failing NYT also reported today that PDT is again pushing his lawyers to allow him to interview with Mueller, despite his attorneys advising him against the move. I should warn, though, that there is a good chance that those “reports” were planted by PDT himself. Establishing a narrative of wanting to sit down puts across the message that he has nothing to hide, although HE SHOULDN’T HAVE ANYTHING TO PROVE TO THESE SCUMBAGS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

King Bob has been pushing for a sit-down interview with Trump for months. According to multiple fairly trustworthy sources, he reportedly told the Trump legal team that he would subpoena the president to testify before a grand jury if he wouldn’t agree to be questioned voluntarily.

Imagine making up charges out of thin air, then threatening the POTUS with a subpoena if he didn’t humor them. I guess it’s good to to be the King.

.

BOTTOM LINE:

.

This isn’t rocket surgery, folks. Mueller wants to entrap PDT just like his FBI tried to entrap his campaign during the election season.

PDT should tell the entire Mueller team to pound sand. There is NOTHING good that will come of talking with them, unless PDT has some dirt on them and would like to taunt them in person, which is entirely possible. I would be surprised if this sit-down meeting ever takes place. No lawyer worth the shirt on his back would advise PDT to do such a thing.

Which reminds me…..Mr. President, we all love Rudy, but I swear it seems like you could get better representation. Please tell him to get all his facts together before going on television. He’s been making you look awful lately. And I say that as someone who has an immense amount of respect for Rudy.

Stay away from this thing and keep doing your work behind the scenes, Mr. President.

IVANKA STRIKES AGAIN

.

.

The ever liberal Ivanka Trump once again sided with the Fake News establishment at a time when their campaign against her father is reaching new lows.

While acknowledging that many stories about herself and her father “weren’t accurate” (some might even call that ‘fake’), she does not think the media are the enemy of the People.

“I’ve received my fair share of reporting on me personally that I know not to be fully accurate, so I’ve had some sensitivity around why people have concerns and gripe, especially when they sort of feel targeted,” she told reporters. “But no, I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people.”

.

She also referred to the recent propaganda campaign about kids being separated at the border as the “low point” of her time in the White House; not because the press purposely misrepresented the circumstances surrounding those separations (many weren’t even biologically related and were being smuggled as sex slaves, drug mules, etc.), but because she bought the narrative hook, line and sinker.

At a time when her father needs defending the most, when he was being viciously smeared as heartless when the reality on the ground was far different, Ivanka fed the media narrative as she’s done so many times before.

.

Ivanka, when an institution is determined to unseat a President of the United States because he threatens their unholy alliance with the Swamp, they are the enemy of the People. When a “free” press puts out over 90% negative coverage against a POTUS who is accomplishing things that other presidents could only dream of, they are the enemy of the People.

When the press shamelessly lie to our faces day in and day out in the service of their own political agenda despite the damage it’s doing to our country, you’re damned right, they’re the enemy of the People.

And frankly, if that’s who you respect, then so are you.

And to the readers who don’t like to hear that, sorry. I’m not like Ivanka. I couldn’t give less of a damn about appeasing a mob.

TWITTER ANSWERING FOR ITSELF?

.

.

For years, it’s been an open secret that Twitter (and many others) partake in both overt and covert forms of censorship against conservative voices. Lord, don’t I know it.

Could it be that one of the top dogs will have to answer for it? The answer is yes, if House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy has anything to say about it.

McCarthy wants Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee about allegations that Twitter participated in “shadow-banning” of conservative users. He sent a letter to the committee’s chairman, Rep. Greg Walden (R-Oregon-Yes They Do Exist), urging him to request a hearing with Dorsey to learn more about “filtering and censorship practices on his platform.”

“Any solution to this problem must start with accountability from companies like Twitter, whose platforms have enormous potential to impact the national conversation — and unfortunately, enormous potential for abuse,” McCarthy said.

“In particular, I would like to request a hearing with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey so that the American people can learn more about the filtering and censorship practices on his platform,” he added.

McCarthy’s letter comes after Twitter denied in a blog post that it practiced shadow-banning — or hiding tweets and profiles of misbehaving Twitter users without removing them from the site — of users based on political leanings.

“We do not shadow ban. You are always able to see the tweets from accounts you follow (although you may have to do more work to find them, like go directly to their profile). And we certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology,” Twitter developers wrote.

“For the most part, we believe the issue had more to do with how other people were interacting with these representatives’ accounts than the accounts themselves,” the company added.

.

THE TRUTH:

.

Yes, they do shadow-ban conservatives, and their defense of it is pure sleight-of-hand. When Jack says he doesn’t ban on the basis of political ideology, what he’s not telling you is he simply uses another excuse, specifically guidelines that seek to curb “trolls.” Many conservative voices and politicians have been marginalized due to posting unapproved opinions, which falls under the “trolling” label according to Jack and co.

The second part of his excuse, referring to how “other people were interacting with the representatives” is a mixture of stupid, bizarre and insulting. What does that even mean? That someone can be banned if they incite particular types of exchanges? If so, what kinds of exchanges are they talking about? Ones with facts?

Twitter has seemingly stopped its practice of outright shadow-banning, which consists of allowing tweets to post but not allowing any audience for them other than the tweeter him/herself. But it has continued to disable the auto-fill function, which greatly inhibits the ability to reach a profile.

For example, if you go to Twitter and type “T-R” into the search box, it will automatically type out “Trump” for you. Just as if you typed “B-E” it would go ahead and bring up #CrazyBernie.” What they’re doing with conservatives is forcing people to type out the entire, correctly spelled name in order to make the profile accessible. It seems like a small thing, but when it comes to exposure on the platform it has a real, tangible effect.

It’s an underhanded method of censorship and I’m glad they’re finally being called on it.

.

BIG PICTURE:

 .

As a philosophical conservative, I’m averse to government involvement in the practices of any private business. But guess what — if a federal judge is going to tell PDT that he can’t block trolls, you’re damned right it opens up the other side to this sort of thing.

They can’t have it both ways. If the courts are going to treat Twitter as a public utility, it better act like one. And that means playing it fair on both sides.

Here’s to hoping that Twitter stock continues to sink.

TOMMY FREED!

.

.

We’ve been needing some good news, Trumpers, and now we have it!

The courageous founder of the English Defence League, “Tommy Robinson”, has had his conviction for contempt of court quashed as the Court of Appeal has ordered a new trial.

Known as a “far-right activist,” which is the name given to anyone in the West who dares question the wisdom of mass Muslim immigration, Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon), was released from prison on bail after three judges ruled that he was jailed earlier this year following a series of procedural “flaws”.

The 35-year old Robinson has been a prime target for much of his adult life, or at least since he began to speak out about what is happening to his once great country. He had been convicted of contempt in May after broadcasting on Facebook a 1.5 hour video from outside Leeds Crown Court about a case which has a blanket reporting restriction. His footage was watched by 250,000 people when it went live, which was his true crime.

Within hours of posting the video online he was brought before a judge in Leeds and jailed for 10 months with an extra three extra months for an earlier suspended sentence for contempt.

Yesterday the Court of Appeal found that the judge had rushed into proceedings despite Robinson having removed the video from the internet.

.

Former EDL leader Tommy Robinson pictured leaving prison after judges quash contempt ruling
This is Tommy leaving prison, where he was lucky to survive. Muslims make up a disproprotionate percentage of the prison population in the UK and want very much to kill Tommy.

The appeal judges also found he was sentenced as if he had pleaded guilty, despite it being unclear what he was admitting to, and there had been a “muddle” about the nature of the contempt he faced.

Why, it was almost as if they had it in for him.

The judges said they were satisfied that the decision at Leeds to proceed to committal to prison “so promptly”, and without “due regard” to rules governing procedures surrounding someone alleged to have acted in contempt of court “gave rise to unfairness”.

Just imagine if they’d been so fast to imprison the child rapists in Rotherham and other places throughout England. Then there would be no need for Tommy Robinson.

But I digress.

They added that the haste in bringing him to court back in May meant his barrister, found during a 33 minute adjournment, had “limited opportunity… to investigate mitigation” or obtain character references.

In other words, he wasn’t even given a chance to properly defend himself. But we all know that was the point, now don’t we.

.

Delivering the ruling in the Court of Appeal in London, Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett said: “Where a custodial term of considerable length is being imposed, it should not usually occur so quickly after the conduct which is complained of; a sentence of committal to immediate custody had been pronounced within five hours of the conduct taking place.”

After granting Robinson conditional bail they stressed the need for a fresh hearing before a different judge to be held “as soon as reasonably possible”. Robinson, who was not in court for the hearing, was banned from going within 400 meters of Leeds Crown Court as part of his bail conditions. The fresh contempt case will be now heard at the Old Bailey in the capital.

GOOD FOR YOU, BRITISH TRUMPERS:

.

The media will never tell you this, but much like in America, there is significant working class support for PDT. And those working class Brits are the very ones who have had Tommy Robinson’s back the whole time. They are our brethren.

They protested and fought for his release from the beginning, becoming a huge pain in the rear for the courts in Leeds and serving as a reminder to the Fake News establishment that their journalistic malfeasance has made brave men like Tommy Robinson national folk heroes.

Tommy has earned his status. While the cowards in government, media and police departments have been sticking their heads in the sand in the face of the horrors caused by Islamic importation, Tommy has been putting a #BigFat spotlight on it. For example, in May 2017, he was filmed outside court commenting on a trial of four Muslim men who were later convicted of gang-raping a teenage girl. He was given a suspended three-month sentence for his trouble and told his conviction was not about “freedom of speech”  but about “justice and ensuring that a trial can be carried out justly and fairly”. That would be fine and dandy if it weren’t for the fact that without Tommy, justice may not have been carried out at all. He won that fight and reporting restrictions on that case were later lifted.

If not for men like Tommy, many of these cases would never see the light of day, as the propaganda media either don’t cover those stories or blatantly lie about them when they do. If it’s not a white male doing the raping, good luck getting the straight truth on a story. That’s where Tommy comes in, and that’s why he’s so beloved.

And you best believe that Robinson knows who has his back. In the afternoon of his release, Robinson emerged from Onley Prison, Warwickshire, in a blue T-shirt, jeans and carrying a black holdall, but refused to answer reporters’ questions. That was no accident. As he was ushered into a people carrier by some of his supporters, he said: “I’ve got a lot to say, nothing to you [the media]. I just want to say thank you to the British public for their support.”

.

BIG PICTURE:

.

Every Trumper should be heartened by this story. There is no doubt that without the outpouring of support Tommy has received since his arrest, he would still be rotting away in a Muslim-controlled prison as we speak.

Your voice DOES matter. The powers that be hate squeaky wheels and that’s exactly what the #FreeTommyRobinson movement has been. Be advised, establishment: this is not a purely British phenomenon. The backlash against propaganda media also means support for those who bring truth to their countrymen, and I can tell you from personal experience that the public’s appetite for truth-tellers is just as strong on our side of the pond.

We ARE breaking up the information monopoly, along with the brainwashing inherent in it.

This is a victory for the good guys, and #BelieveMe….it’s just the beginning.

I like Ivanka Trump. I am heartened to learn Tommy Robinson is freed. (I have watched ”Crownies” on Acorn.) I detest Mueller. Trey, great job on the recap.
