Suffering in Silence



No matter how much the propaganda media would like to ignore it, Christians continue to be a target of Islamists around the globe. And this latest attack was especially horrific.

At least nine bombs that tore through churches and hotels in three Sri Lankan cities on Easter Sunday. The death toll currently sits at least 290, but could very well climb higher in the coming days given the more than 500 others wounded, some critically. As you’ve surely guessed, defense officials have declared the coordinated blasts as a terrorist attack by religious extremists.

At least 39 foreigners were among the dead. Countries that have confirmed their citizens were killed include Australia, Britain, China, Japan, Portugal and the United States. Four Americans have been counted among the fatalities thus far. There were even more explosions today, although (thankfully) no new casualties have been reported as a result.

In this piece, we’ll lay out the best information we have, ask some tough questions and examine a situation that much of the world would like to forget.
