Suffering in Silence

.

.

Big Picture:

.

Perhaps if the intelligence reflected a danger to Buddhists or Muslims, authorities would have acted to safeguard targets rather than sitting on their hands while watching terrorists prepare to attack. That’s something we’ll never know for sure, but it’s hard to imagine the “poor communication” excuse working if the victims had been anyone but the most persecuted religious group in the world, Christians.

And perhaps the world would be more attuned to the plight of Christians if American leaders didn’t do everything in their power to pretend the problem doesn’t exist. The Swamp/Media Complex can’t even bring themselves to identify the victims in these sorts of attacks, opting for euphemisms such as “Easter Worshippers” instead.

Imagine for a moment that these attacks had been carried out by Christians against mosques. Every news station worldwide would be running the footage of the aftermath on a loop, with the United Nations convening an emergency session to discuss how best to tackle the scourge of Christian extremism. As things stand, we’re the easy target, and the one most desirable for those who wish to usher in a new era of tyranny wherever possible.

The reason is simple: Christianity breeds freedom. It built Western civilization with ideas such as free will and God-given, inalienable rights. The American Constitution would not exist without Judeo-Christian values, and our Founders knew that without them our country would surely fail.

As long as Christianity exists, freedom will have a home, as Christians know it’s the natural human state created by God Himself. And we want that for everyone else, too.

Judeo-Christian values have freed slaves the world over. They built the most powerful and prosperous civilization the world has ever known in record time, using radical ant-government ideas as its engine, no less. Those who would see us subjugated by earthly powers are all too happy to see Christianity extinguished wherever it exists, for wherever Christianity thrives, human flourishing is sure to follow, and that flourishing will always be an obstacle to tyranny. That’s why we must never stop fighting.

And fight we will. Tyrants have persecuted Christians as long as we’ve existed for the very reasons I’ve laid out, and they’ve never succeeded in their aim. Rather, Christianity has only spread and grown stronger as its believers have refused to renounce its truth, for we know that truth is beyond this world; an authority that we’ll answer to long after our worldly rulers have passed. While our oppressors have great capacity to inflict suffering upon us, their power is ultimately illusory.

That’s why they hate us. And it’s why we’ll be victorious once more.

May God rest the souls of those who perished in these attacks, and those who will certainly perish in attacks going forward. And may God have mercy on those lost souls who were enraged by their beauty.
