Joe Biden Is An Asset Of China

As long as I’ve been writing, I’ve always had an aversion to insulting my readers’ intelligence. As a voracious consumer of news myself, I find nothing more annoying than headlines that overstate the actual content of the article, i.e. ‘clickbait.’ Therefore, when I say Joe Biden is a Chinese asset, you can rest assured that’s exactly what I mean.

In the intelligence world, an ‘asset’ can be any number of things. It can mean a willful, knowing and ideologically aligned operative seeking to do the bidding of a foreign (or domestic) government. It could also mean a naive person unwittingly being used toward ends on which he or she may not necessarily agree. It can mean any number of things so long as it is beneficial to a particular person, entity or cause. Given Mr. Biden’s cognitive decline, the ‘unwitting’ option can never be ruled out. Unfortunately, his service to the Chinese Communist Party long predates the days of his forgetting Barack Obama’s name in campaign speeches, therefore we cannot assume mere incompetence. All evidence points to the contrary: Joe Biden is a knowing and willful asset of America’s greatest geopolitical foe.

Had we a legitimate free press in this country—one that served as a government watchdog as opposed to a Democrat lapdog—it would be common knowledge that Biden is a proven pathological liar, plagiarist, and all around corrupt politician. Alas, we haven’t had anything resembling a legitimate press for several decades now, thus it falls to the citizen journalist to bring truth to as many people as possible in the hopes that it may become viral. That’s a tall task given the overtly partisan censorship of anything harmful to His Majesty by our moral overlords at Big Tech, but we must make every effort nonetheless.

In this piece, I’ll only go back in time once, meaning the vast majority of examples given will be actions taken since he took office. Consider the fact that in only three weeks time, our new president has done enough to warrant a piece of this sort — a piece that could, frankly, be much longer. But the argument can be made based largely on what has happened in less than a month’s time, the first month of his presidency. Any American who cares about our country and sees China for the threat they are should be alarmed by these flurry of actions.

A Most Profitable Flight

In 2009, then-Vice Presidential son and noted crack enthusiast Hunter Biden partnered with the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, Christopher Heinz, to establish Rosemont Seneca Partners, a billion-dollar private equity firm. Given the powerful connections enjoyed by the two men and their shamelessness in abusing those connections for personal enrichment, Rosemont Seneca was sure to be a success.

Still at the helm of the firm, Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two to China in December 2013, accompanying his then-veep father on an official visit where Joe Biden reportedly met with Hunter’s Chinese partners.

And wouldn’t you know it, ten days later, Hunter’s company inked a deal with the state-owned Bank of China and created the $1 billion investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), which has been covered extensively by Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and the best-selling author of “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends.”

A representative for BHR told The New Yorker in July 2019 that Hunter Biden introduced his father to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li during the trip. Li later became the CEO of BHR. Hunter was forced to step down from the BHR board in October 2019 only after it became a political liability for his father on the campaign trail following relentless attacks from President Trump.

Of course, the Biden family denied any wrongdoing or that there was any connection between the vice president’s visit and BHR’s sudden and miraculous fundraising success. Just as with his board membership on a Ukrainian energy company, Hunter clearly pulled it off on his own merits. (Author’s note: If you failed to detect the sarcasm in that statement, this site probably isn’t for you.)

Not entirely convinced by the Bidens’ denial, Schweizer continued to investigate, and in doing so found what he described as “a troubling pattern” of Biden and Heinz benefitting from their fathers’ positions in the Obama administration.

“Over the next seven years, as both Joe Biden and John Kerry negotiated sensitive and high-stakes deals with foreign governments, Rosemont entities secured a series of exclusive deals often with those same foreign governments,” Schweizer wrote in his book.

Later, in May 2017, Hunter met with Chinese tycoon Ye Jianming, the chairman of energy company CEFC, in a Miami hotel room to discuss American infrastructure and energy deals. The arrangement was so shady that it was covered in a 2018 report by the Failing New York Times. For everyone wondering how overtly corrupt a Democrat must be in order for the NYT to take notice, Hunter Biden has provided the answer.

After the meeting, Ye sent Hunter a 2.8-carat diamond and a “thank you” note, at which point Hunter began negotiating a deal for CEFC to invest $40 million dollars in a natural gas project on Louisiana’s Monkey Island.

Six months later, a CEFC executive was arrested in New York on unrelated bribery charges, and his first call was to none other than Hunter Biden’s uncle, James Biden. According to the Failing NYT report, James believed the call was for Hunter.

“There is nothing else I have to say,” James Biden told the Times. “I don’t want to be dragged into this anymore.”

Now, ask yourself: Is there any way possible that Joe Biden had no knowledge of his son’s shady dealings in China, the same dealings that began with an official Air Force Two flight that he, himself, ordered and arranged? Is there any way he’s unaware that his position is being used by his son for personal enrichment on the tab of a hostile foreign government? If so, he is dangerously incompetent.

Either way, he is an asset of China.

Handing American Schools Back to the CCP

Now that we’ve had our blast from the past to illustrate the depths of corruption to which Team Biden will sink in broad daylight, let’s begin our examination of what the Big Guy has done just in the last few weeks.

Apparently hoping no one would notice, Biden quietly ended a proposed rule that would have required U.S. universities and K-12 schools with foreign exchange programs to disclose any financial ties or other connections to Chinese state-run Confucius Institutes

This is perhaps one of the most important stories of the last two years, though it (unsurprisingly) has received little attention in the American press. In September of last year, the House Foreign Affairs Committee released a report that found “through Confucius Institutes, monitoring of students, and direct interference by PRC diplomats, the CCP is trying to force its views upon our institutions of higher learning.” The Chinese Communist Party, the report added, “has used these institutes to promote an idyllic image while actively working to steal U.S. research and innovation and coerce colleges and universities.”

The report also found that the CCP was showering billions of dollars in gifts and other goodies to American universities that were not reported to any authorities. In other words, our educational system has allowed both the brainwashing of our students and the theft (read: sale) of our intellectual property to a hostile communist government. For some reason, this doesn’t trouble the Biden administration.

Last August, the State Department officially designated the Confucius Institute U.S. Center in Washington, D.C., as a “foreign mission” of the Chinese Communist Party, with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying at the time “the United States wants to ensure that students on U.S. campuses have access to Chinese language and cultural offerings free from the manipulation of the Chinese Communist Party and its proxies.” Various Chinese media outlets have also received the same designation, which should hardly be surprising seeing as how they are literally communist state-run media.

Former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos also issued a report from a task force of her own that warned of K-12 classrooms and universities nationwide are being targeted by CCP influence operations. DeVos also released a report in October 2020 detailing how universities had failed to disclose $6.5 billion in funding and resources from foreign sources, primarily China.

Perhaps the most alarming aspect of this story is that Chinese infiltration into our education system has been so pervasive that even Democrats couldn’t deny it. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, led by Republican Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, released a 109-page BIPARTISAN report in November 2019, concluding foreign countries “seek to exploit America’s openness to advance their own national interests” and “the most aggressive of them has been China.” Of course, this should have come as a surprise to no one seeing as how China has not been shy about its so-called  Thousand Talents Program, which expressly seeks to exploit access to U.S. research labs and academic institutions.

Everyone from Harvard professors to NASA scientists have been prosecuted for lying about their contributions to China’s Thousand Talents Program, and given the sheer size and scope of the operation, we can safely assume that the arrests of the last few years represent only a tiny fraction of the infiltration that has taken place. So why on Earth would the Biden administration put an end to a policy that hasn’t even had the chance to take effect, knowing the facts laid out by bipartisan reports of the last few years? Does he simply not care? Does he actually support the aim of the Chinese Communist Party to use our educational system as springboard to global dominance? Or is he simply so incompetent that he ordered a reversal of all Trump policies regardless of their impact on national security?

Regardless of the answer, one fact is beyond dispute: Joe Biden is an invaluable asset to the Chinese Communist Party.

Tick-Tock for TikTok

Any parent or grandparent of young children probably has at least a peripheral knowledge of the popular social media app “TikTok.” What many parents and grandparents don’t know—because we don’t have an actual press in this country—is that Chinese intelligence is heavily involved with the app and all the data that comes with it.

In fact, the national security risk posed by TikTok was deemed to be so serious that none other than Sen. Chuck Schumer wrote a letter in November 2019 warning of the dangers of the U.S. Army using the app as a recruiting tool. Schumer sent the letter to Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy asking about potential national security risks posed by the social media platform after receiving briefs about the matter on Capitol Hill.

Schumer said national security experts have raised concerns about TikTok’s collection and handling of user data, including personal information, locations and other content. And he noted that Chinese laws compel companies to cooperate with China’s government and intelligence collection.

“While I recognize that the Army must adapt its recruiting techniques in order to attract young Americans to serve, I urge you to assess the potential national security risks posed by China-owned technology companies before choosing to utilize certain platforms,” Schumer said in the letter.

As a result of these concerns, the Trump administration did what any sane, responsible administration would do. It took measures to force the sale of TikTok’s American branch to an American company so as to protect American citizens from the invasive practices of a hostile communist government. Of course, their efforts were blocked by our own court system, which has often been as detrimental to our country as any nefarious CCP plot.

Yet, despite the help from activist leftwing judges, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Biden administration will “determine its own path forward” on how to deal with potential security risks posed by the TikTok app. In fairness to the Biden administration, they could very well have some ingenious plan to combat CCP dominance of American data. The problem is, they have yet to demonstrate any intention aside from stopping all the efforts from the previous administration. And given the policy pattern of the administration thus far, as the Wall Street Journal noted, there is no reason to believe they will do anything but soften our stance toward the company.

Is it possible that the Biden administration couldn’t find a single aspect of the Trump administration’s fight against TikTok worth keeping? Or is it more likely that this is merely another step backward that does the bidding of China?

One thing is for sure: Every day that Joe Biden ponders “a new path forward” is an asset to the Chinese Communist Party. At this point, we can only hope that his dithering is more of an asset than whatever path he ultimately chooses to take.

CCP at the CIA

Full disclosure: I am no fan of the CIA. In fact I think their very existence is a huge net negative for our country. That said, as a sane American who understands the very sensitive nature of the agency’s work, I would prefer not to have a CCP asset running it. Unfortunately, it appears Joe Biden disagrees.

Today, the Daily Caller published a damning report on William J. Burns, Biden’s nominee for director of the CIA. Burns is president of a think tank that has received up to $2 million from a Chinese businessman as well as from a think tank with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. But it doesn’t end there.

The Daily Caller reports:

As president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Burns also invited nearly a dozen congressional staffers to attend a junket to China, where they met with a communist party operative and a president of a Chinese front group.

Burns, who was paid $540,580 last year as president of Carnegie, will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee for a confirmation hearing likely to be held this month. He has been president of Carnegie since March 2015.

During Burns’ tenure at Carnegie, a businessman named Zhang Yichen joined the think tank’s board of trustees.

“We are very fortunate to have Zhang Yichen on our board,” Burns, a former deputy secretary of state, said in a statement in October 2016. “I look forward to working with him to make Carnegie an even finer institution.”

Zhang, the CEO of CITIC Consulting, a China-based investment firm, donated between $500,000 and $999,999 to Carnegie from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018, according to Carnegie’s website. He gave between $250,000 and $549,999 in the 2020 fiscal year, according to Carnegie’s 2020 annual report.

Zhang is a member of two organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party, according to his biography at CITIC Capital: the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Center for China and Globalization.

CPPCC is an advisory group for the Chinese Communist Party that is affiliated with China’s united front system, which promotes Chinese government initiatives abroad.

It is described on the website of one Chinese embassy as “a united front organization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and an organ for various other political parties, mass organizations and personages of various social circles to take part in the running of the state.”

The Center for China and Globalization, where Zhang serves as senior vice chairman, is a Beijing-based think tank also linked to the communist apparatus.

Zhang’s donations to Carnegie helped fund the Beijing-based Carnegie-Tsinghua Center, according to Carnegie’s 2018 annual report, which formed in 2010 in partnership with Tsinghua University, one of China’s top technological universities.

Absorb that information for a moment. The man who has been nominated to oversee the most clandestine agency in the US government has spent the last several years on the take from Chinese donors with overt connections not only to the CCP, but CCP initiatives abroad. As you’ll recall from this very piece, those initiatives abroad often consist of nefarious actions within American borders, at the expense of American citizens and institutions, for the benefit of the Chinese Communist Party. This is the man tagged by Joe Biden to be America’s top spook.

Incredibly, it doesn’t end there. The Daily Caller further reports:

In May 2018, Sen. Marco Rubio, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, raised concerns that Wang Huiyao, the president of the Center for China and Globalization, was set to speak at an event hosted by the Wilson Center, another U.S. think tank.

Rubio cited Wang’s position with the United Front Work Department, which he said Chinese President Xi Jinping had described as one of the communist regime’s “magic weapons.”

Carnegie has also received funding from the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), a Hong Kong-based think tank that is also a part of the united front system.

CUSEF donated between $100,000 and $249,999 to Carnegie in 2015 and the same amount between July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, according to archived versions of Carnegie’s donor page.

Burns’ relationship with the CCP was so worrisome that the U.S. Senate took notice as far back as 2018, before there was any hint that he may be nominated for a job as powerful and potentially destructive as CIA Director. I thought we couldn’t possibly do worse than John Brennan, but behold, Biden has surpassed levels of corruption never before imagined.

There are even more troubling connections between Burns and the CCP, all of which involving efforts to expand Chinese influence within the United States. The full report can be read here.

It’s hard to imagine a bigger victory for the CCP than getting Burns at the helm of the CIA, other than getting their own man in the White House. The truly scary part is that all signs point to their having done just that.

Big Picture

There isn’t a great deal more to be said. When all the facts point in one direction, we must deal with the reality being thrust upon us. Perhaps Joe Biden is simply a feeble old man who has little choice but to allow far-left staffers to run his administration. Perhaps he is so diminished and incompetent that he is seen as easy pickings for a government that knows his puppet strings are connected to Hunter Biden’s bank account. Or perhaps Joe “Big Guy” Biden has been getting his cut all along, as suggested by Hunter in those infamous messages exposed last year.

There is one thing we know for sure: Joe Biden is an asset of the Chinese Communist Party, and one that America is in no shape to survive.
